Most patients seek help due to the strange appearance; however, in severe cases, patients may even have milk-like secretions, undermining their confidence and social life. There are many causes of this problem. Some common ones include the excessive secretion of female hormones during puberty and overdevelopment of fat tissues in the breasts due to obesity (pseudogynecomastia). Rare cases caused by breast tumors, pituitary tumors, or other types of endocrine diseases have also been observed.
