Brow Bone Augmentation
Brow bone augmentation is mainly performed to highlight the eyebrow bones and intentionally boost the relative difference between the eye socket and eyebrow. This not only deepens the eye socket and makes the forehead more stereoscopic but also sculpts profound and Western eyes, which are adored by patients in favor of the face features of multiracial people or foreigners. This surgery is concentrated at the margin of the orbital bone near the eyebrow, and implants are primarily thick Gore-Tex, available in thicknesses of 4 or 7 mm. The surgical incision is determined by the degree and scope of change that the patient wants to make. For large-area brow bone augmentation or the presence of concurrent forehead augmentation, an incision needs to be made at the scalp posterior to the hairline, while for small-area brow bone augmentation, an incision should be created at the anterior or posterior end of the eyebrow lower margin, which entails subperiosteal space detachment before the emplacement of a well-sculpted Gore-Tex prosthesis. This surgery is also frequently performed along with forehead augmentation using a forehead implant to achieve more complete and distinct results.

- Those with orbital bone sinking or asymmetry due to previous trauma
- Those who want to reinforce their masculine features of the brow and forehead
Possible complications
- Regional alopecia

Surgical advantages
-
It radically changes the brow bone shape and sculpts the stereoscopic lines of the eyebrows.
-
Surgical results are stable and long lasting.
-
The surgical scar is concealed in the scalp and less noticeable.
-
The application of Gore-Tex is less likely to incur foreign body reaction or displacement.
Surgical drawbacks
-
It may induce the complications of prosthesis such as infection or tissue reaction.
-
The forehead skin may show temporary or long-term numbness.
-
It may make the eye socket sink more.
-
It may cause a sense of compression to the eyebrow or forehead.
-
The incision at the eyebrow lower margin may leave a scar.
-
The scalp incision may induce regional alopecia.
