背部的範圍可從手臂後方的肩舺骨外側至後腰部的上緣, 因此抽脂部位需依患者個人的需求與皮脂厚度來做決定. 手術的進行會先於背部外側兩邊各切開一道約0.5cm的傷口, 同樣需灌注止血與止痛劑於皮膚下方, 接著醫師會利用高頻震波的超音波溶脂探頭進入將脂肪溶解與乳糜化後, 再以抽脂機將變為液態的脂肪球抽出, 因背部的皮下脂肪數目並不多, 平均約抽取出200~300cc的脂肪量即可看到較為明顯的成效了。
