自體脂肪注射
如果是因乳房下垂, 鬆弛, 或萎縮而導致乳暈下陷的話, 那可以利用最簡單快速的自體脂肪注射來填補乳暈下方的空間, 其優點是手術創傷小且恢復快, 而缺點則是脂肪容易被吸收而逐漸消失. 此法也常合併於自體脂肪豐胸手術中進行以收加乘的效果.

自體筋膜移植
針對因乳暈手術疤痕沾黏而產生的凹陷問題, 單是運用脂肪注射並無法達到明顯的改善, 因此須要利用更為厚實且堅韌的自體臀筋膜來做直接的填充. 手術的做法是先將乳暈疤痕沾黏處做切開與疤痕鬆解, 再於臀溝附近做另一處切口取出完整的筋膜組織, 最後將其裁切為適當的面積與厚度後移植到乳暈凹陷處. 此法的優點是支撐效果明顯且持久, 自體吸收率較低(<15%), 而缺點則是身體他處須多另一道傷疤, 且乳暈的傷口也需復原一段時間.
